Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Terry McSweeney recently visited Champions Martial Arts in Copiague, where they honored 10 students from Copiague who competed in the 2019 AAU National Taekwondo Championships.
The martial artists demonstrated some of their training routines for Deputy Supervisor Martinez and Councilman McSweeney before they were honored with official Certificates of Appreciation for their accomplishments.
The 10 students who competed are as follow: Preston Roman, Valentina Arevalo, Jerome Wilks, Thomas Mannina, Piotr Bartnikowski, Jordan Harvey, Jaden Harvey and Lianna Turbides.
