Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and Councilman Anthony Manetta recently joined with fellow elected officials, clergy, parishioners and members of the community for the renaming ceremony of the corner of Great Neck Rd. and Albany Ave. in honor of Rev. Dr. Andy Lewter Sr., affectionately known as “Daddy” Lewter. Rev. Lewter Sr. was also honored with a memorial recognizing his lifelong work as a community leader, advocate, activist and pastor.
