Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez was recently invited to read to kindergarten students at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Students from Mrs. Iannotta’s kindergarten class listened as Deputy Supervisor Martinez read “Too Many Tamales,” written by Gary Soto and Ed Martinez. Deputy Supervisor Martinez thanked the class for the opportunity to join them as they celebrated both Hispanic Heritage Month and the joys of reading.
