Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Terry McSweeney to honor Reverend Randolph Jon Geminder, who is retiring after serving as Rector of Saint Mary’s Church in Amityville since 1975. In addition to his extensive work at the church, Father Geminder took part in many community service activities and served as Chaplain for Amityville Police and Fire Departments. A retirement dinner was held for Father Geminder at The Piermont in Babylon, where the town officials thanked him for his service to the community and congratulated him on his retirement.
