The Town of Babylon Department of Environmental Control is holding the second annual Waterways Poster Contest in Memory of Burt Koza. The contest will once again be sponsored by Winter Brothers Waste Systems.
Create a poster that raises awareness of the problem of plastic litter (like water bottles)entering our waterways. There will be 3 scholarships awarded for the posters that best represent the problem of floatables in the water! Winning posters will also be displayed in Public Outreach Programs and Town Facilities!
The contest is open to all 4th and 5th graders in the Town of Babylon. Posters and application forms are due by Friday, March 27. Email your submission to: esweet@redhillps.com or amarinos@redhillps.com, OR mail your poster to 281 Phelps Lane, North Babylon, NY 11703. Addressed to "Department of Environmental Control.
First place: $500; Second Place $250; Third Place: $150.
