The Town of Babylon is proud to announce that it has received a 2020 Project Excellence Award from Preservation Long Island for the repair and adaptive reuse of of the Oak Beach Life-Saving Station/Community Center. Preservation Long Island stated that this award was granted because the Oak Beach project serves as "an excellent model for the public planning, grant funding, and completion of a major rehabilitation project at a historic civic building with severe storm damage."
