[ARCHIVED] PPE Reimbursement/PPE Stopgap Program Announced

Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilmen Terry McSweeney and DuWayne Gregory joined the Babylon IDA, Greater Wyandanch Chamber of Commerce an Suffolk County Legislator Jason Richberg in downtown Wyandanch to announce a commitment of $200,000 to local businesses for the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as the placement of 15 hand sanitizer stations throughout the town.

$25,000 of the $200,000 donation has already been spent by the Babylon IDA on PPE for business owners who face long delivery wait times or are unable to order. The remaining $175,000 will be used as reimbursement to businesses who successfully purchase their own PPE.
