The Town of Babylon's Department of Human Services has partnered with New York State Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean Pierre and local nonprofit organization Keep Your Change Inc. to adopt nine homeless shelters for the 2020 holiday season. Shoeboxes will be decorated and filled with a toy and items from the list below. These gifts will be given to every child and adult living in the shelters.

- Gift cards
- Candy/snacks
- Small toys (will be wrapped separately if they don't fit in a shoe box)
- Books (reading, children’s, coloring, comics, puzzles)
- Hygiene products (lotion, soap, deodorant, hair care, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine items, razors/shaving items)
- Winter wear (socks, gloves, hats, scarfs, undergarments, slipper socks/slippers)
- Cosmetics/beauty products
- Handheld devices (music players, games, tablets, other electronics, etc.)
- Surprises are always welcome!
