Babylon Town Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon recently honored Alessandra Bria Laucella of Deer Park for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the highest achievement in the Girl Scout organization. Councilwoman Gordon presented Alessandra with a proclamation from the Town of Babylon at the ceremony, which was held at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Deer Park. In order to obtain her Gold Award, Alessandra created two gardens for the Save-A-Pet animal shelter in Port Jefferson, helped groom horses and assisted with classes at Sweet Hill Stables in Huntington, and organized two pet supply drives as part of her “Animal Comfort and Care” project.
