On Wednesday, June 26, Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Town Clerk Carol Quirk joined New York State Senator Charles Fuschillo to launch a program that offers free senior identification cards to Town of Babylon residents over the age of 60 at Tanner Park Senior Center in Copiague. The ID cards include the senior’s name, photo, medical information, and contact numbers, among other items of information that would be useful in an emergency situation. Over 200 seniors received IDs as part of the event.
Those interested in obtaining a senior ID card can visit the Town Clerk’s Office in Town Hall, located at 200 East Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM on Mondays through Fridays. The Town Clerk’s Office will also be bringing the program to other local senior centers in the coming months.
For more information, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at (631) 957-4291.
