Services for the Disabled - General Information
The Services for the Disabled and Senior Citizen Community Services Division is located at 281 Phelps Lane, in North Babylon. They can be contacted directly at (631) 893-1050 or by email at cmckeon@townofbabylon.com.


This Division is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents with disabilities and serves as a focal point for information, referral and technical assistance to physically and mentally challenged individuals and senior citizens.


Division responsibilities include:

  • The issuance of handicapped parking permits

  • Plans and organizes programs to stimulate, promote, encourage and advance the moral, physical, mental and social well-being of Babylon's disabled residents

  • Provides equipment such as walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc, to residents to borrow at no cost

  • Provides transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping on designated times during the week
